My 2 year old son knocked over my Martin HD-28 and the headstock split away from the neck....yes, I can only blame myself.  I sought help from Dave at Fret Knot, and he did an amazing job of repairing the split using splines, and then finishing it with a perfectly matching varnish.  I couldn't be happier with the end result.

Dave is a very skilled Luthier and I would recommend his talent to anyone.  He did all the work on time and UNDER his original budget estimate.

What to do in the Age of COVID? If you're a bit of an artist and a bit of a guitar player, you make an art guitar! My project is the very first guitar I ever bought, this one, in downtown Hamburg, when I was 12 or 13. Until I came to Canada in '75, this guitar went through some gruesome abuse, as I carried it along, hitchhiking through Europe to music festivals and other camping type deals.
I recently decided to revive it and turn it into the true folk guitar that it is. With that in mind, I painted a very personal theme on it, reflecting some of my history and hoping for it to be somewhat of a folk art guitar, something a lonely sailor might have carved in a tusk or an oar.
I have to thank my friend and luthier extraordaire, Dave Moore of Fret Knot, for his infinite patience to put this guitar back together. He filled holes, planed the badly worn fretboard (musta played it a lot) as well as the the sunken top, re-fretted the neck, put a new ebony cover on the headstock with my signature in 'shell' - yet, some of it we just left alone because it just is what it is... and it's my first. 

So happy with the quality of work Dave put into fixing up my well-abused guitar. Looks and sounds like new, price was more than fair, and bottom line, I'm happy I went with his services. He is my guitar guy going forward.

Took my Les Paul for a set up etc. I freaking love what he did. The sound the feel and look is amazing. I think my guitar sounds better now then it did when i first got it 13 years ago. Fret knot has a lifer in me. Thanks for going over and beyond its much appreciated. Can't wait to see how my other 2 guitars turn out.

Dave did a great job on the intonation of my tele. Polished it up real nice as well! He also fixed my input jack on my guitar too. Thanks Dave!
